Your proposal about function is proper.But I think your proposal is lacking consideration about the site as industrial remains.Is there any function based on the characteristic of this site(history and industry and so on)?(For example, education)We are burdened with this problem.How do you think about it?

The preservation of industrial remains is kind of mandatory action in our studio.We are also struggling with this problem. Sure there are some classical and typical ways to solve it, for example figure & background. Maybe, just maybe:) There are some other ways, so more brain storming is necessary.

However, We think the most important thing is our logic. Why we should preserve them? And what we want them to be to stimulate the revitalization of surroundings and Tangshan city?Then the second is the method, including how large the remain area is and how to preserve concretely.

I think in your proposal, there are 3 points which caught my interest. 1- time lag development. 2- the complex street structure. 3- the function- lifelong education. Do you have any thoughts that how to realize them through architectual way? I'm eager to hear that:)

The first discuss class with teacher is focusing on the possibilities. Everyone gives his/her own personal idea, so maybe a little unilateral. But opening the mind is good for us. We 4 will have another discussion this weekend. Hope to find a more 'powerful' (like Wii said~) idea.
